Our commitment

We are committed to ensuring that https://www.shmulplay.com is accessible to people with disabilities, and we work to conform to the recognized accessibility standards described below. We see accessibility as an integral part of the site's quality, not merely a legal requirement.

Conformance status

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities. Our efforts are also informed by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

In short: the site is built with standards-based, accessible code, and it also includes an accessibility tool that lets every visitor adjust the display to their own needs, with no external software required.

The accessibility tool

Every page shows a round accessibility button with the international accessibility symbol. Clicking it opens a menu to adjust the display. The menu is fully keyboard operable, and your chosen preferences are saved and carried with you across the site's pages.

  • Increase / decrease textControl font size from 80% up to 170%.
  • Dark & light contrastHigh-contrast modes for easier reading.
  • Invert colors & grayscaleFor light sensitivity or color blindness.
  • Highlight links & titlesClear marking of links and headings.
  • Readable font & spacingSimpler font, larger letter and line spacing.
  • Stop animationsPause motion and flashing for motion sensitivity.
  • Enlarged cursorA big black or white cursor for easier tracking.
  • Reading guide & maskFocus aids that help follow the current line.
  • Focus highlightA clear outline around the focused element.
  • One-click resetReturn to default settings instantly.

Please note: the accessibility tool is an aid and does not replace standards-based accessibility of the site itself. If you encounter a difficulty the tool does not solve, we would be glad to hear about it and fix it.

Keyboard navigation

  • Tab to move between elements, Shift + Tab to move back.
  • Enter or Space to activate links and buttons.
  • Esc to close the accessibility menu and open dropdowns.
  • A "Skip to main content" link appears at the start of each page during keyboard navigation.

Browser & assistive technology compatibility

The site is tested and supported on current versions of common browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari, as well as with screen readers. For the best experience, use the latest version of your browser and screen reader.

Known limitations

We make an ongoing effort to keep the entire site accessible. That said, some pages may have partial accessibility, in part because of third-party embedded content (such as videos, maps or external components) that is not fully under our control, or older files and content still being updated. If you find a page or component that is not accessible, please contact us using the details below and we will address it promptly.

Ongoing effort & updates to this statement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. This statement is reviewed and updated from time to time as the site changes and as accessibility improves. The date of the most recent update appears at the top of this page.

Accessibility feedback & contact

If you encounter an accessibility problem, or have a suggestion for improvement, we would be glad to hear from you. To help us respond quickly, please include the address of the page where you ran into the issue, a short description of the problem, and the browser or assistive technology you are using.
